Rumour has it that one of the first games for the PlayStation 6 is in development right now, and it’s exactly what you’d expect.
While it may feel like too soon of a time to be talking about Sony’s next PlayStation console, keep in mind that the PlayStation 5 launched all the way back in 2020.
It’s come a long way since then with multiple revisions, one of which being the PlayStation 5 Pro
Granted the showing from the console has been pretty poor in that time, with so many remasters/remakes of PlayStation 4 games, but not Bloodborne for some reason which we’re all still salty about…

Apparently that might not be the case for the PlayStation 6, as it’s rumoured the console’s first major titles will be none other than Hideo Kojima game.
Kojima games and PlayStation consoles simply go hand-in-hand, they have done ever since the Metal Gear Solid series and more recently with Death Stranding 2 releasing this year.
This unannounced title is reportedly another game focused on espionage, and will essentially be a spiritual successor to Metal Gear but without sharing the name, as Konami owns the franchise and broke things off with Kojima and his production company long ago.
While that’s very exciting to hear PlayStation users aren’t so sure, and many have roasted this rumour to a cinder, harkening back to how little we’ve had from the company in terms of genuinely new games.

“The Playstation 6 represents the 6 exclusive games we'll have in the first 6 years. Never chasing a launch console again” read a comment from a Reddit thread discussing the title, and another said “I haven't even had a go at the PS5 yet. Slow down.”
Others hinted that it might finally be time to move to PCs, not a bad plan as many PlayStation games get ported to PC shortly after their launch.
If a Hideo Kojima game can’t sell Sony’s next home console, the question has to be asked what will?
