February saw millions of PlayStation users affected when PSN experienced a 24-hour outage for seemingly no reason.
As one of the worst PlayStation Network outages in recent years, users were left feeling frustrated after they lost access to all multiplayer games and even some single-player titles for almost 48-hours with no explanation from Sony itself.

Since then, as a way to make it up to users, Sony revealed that it would be handing out five free days of PlayStation Plus and as a result, the freebie would be handed out in batches to those eligible.

However, earlier this month, some users had revealed that they had not yet received the free PS Plus compensation and frustrations were starting to grow again.
Nevertheless, it seems as though the majority of players eligible have now received it.
However, there is a catch.
According to one user over on r/PlayStationPlus, they have only just received an email about their free PS Plus period, and as a result, they have missed out on the majority of free days.

“Five days free PS Plus has started?” They asked.
“Just got an email (27th March) saying my free days started on the 24th. Great so I've got one day left.
Anyone else experienced the same?”
However, it seems as though they are not the only one.

“Same! I'm so annoyed about the late notification. My subscription ended like 2 weeks ago,” one user commented.
Another added: “I still haven't received any word from Sony on mine, and I'm especially pissed because it ruined what would have been a competitive event on Destiny 2.”
It seems as though plenty of other users have reported the same issues so despite this being a form of compensation, it just seems as though Sony has alienated PlayStation fans even more.
Hopefully this gets rectified in the future.
