Added context to the now cancelled Star Wars series, The Acolyte provides valuable information for Darth Plagueis' role.
Star Wars fans have had their fair share of ups and downs ever since the first movie in the franchise was released in 1977 with Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.
One of the low points for the Star Wars franchise was with The Acolyte, a Disney Plus series that appeared to have so much promise.

If I was going to give The Acolyte some credit, I was excited to see the role that the infamous Sith Lord, Darth Plageuis, the former mentor of Darth Sidious would play in season two.
Sadly, we’ll never see that story take shape, at least in The Acolyte after season two was abruptly cancelled following its one and only season.

I am about to venture into spoilers for The Acolyte, which had quite a lot of twists and turns with its plot from the first to its final episode.
As a result of The Acolyte being cancelled, many questions will remain unanswered such as how Darth Plageuis got involved with the twins Osha and Mae Aniseya, as well as Qimir.
However, some answers may have been provided by Redditor Camil_2077, courtesy of ‘The Acolyte Visual Guide’ book.

“The Acolyte Visual Guide gave us very important new pieces of lore regarding Mae and her relationship to Qimir and Darth Plagueis,” posted Camil_2077.
“Mae met Qimir and his master in 134 BBY, two years before the series,” Camil_2077 continued. “This shows us that Plagueis was actively involved in Osha's training.”
“This is important in the context of his appearance in the final episode, as some fans suggested that Plagueis' discovery of Qimir training Osha was the basis for his eventual termination of the apprenticeship in the now-cancelled season two.”
Camil_2077 concluded: “Allowing Qimir to have an apprentice is an exact replica of what Plagueis did in Luceno's novel. He also allowed Palpatine to have Maul as his apprentice.”

“We need season two even more now. What I wouldn't give for it, or for season one to have been longer,” replied Jusup.
“Damn, we aren’t that many but for us fans, it’s such a big loss. I hope the haters are happy,” exclaimed KyloRenT10.0
It’s unlikely that we’ll ever get season two of The Acolyte but in that likely scenario, I hope that the story of Darth Plagueis is explored in another live-action production one day.
