PlayStation Plus has increased its pricing - again.
It’s not something that’s been rolled out in every region; at the time of writing, pricing remains unchanged in the UK and US, for example.
Elsewhere though, subscription costs have risen by as much as 36%.

Latin American countries Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay were the first to be affected followed by Australia.
It’s since been revealed that Canada and Türkiye will also be subject to the increases.
Given that Sony is seemingly announcing newly affected regions a couple of days apart, I’d hazard a guess that more countries will be named soon enough.
To give you an idea of what to expect with these increases, a 12-month essential tier subscription in Canada will now cost $110 CAD, up from $95.

A 12-month extra tier subscription now costs $190, up from $155, while premium will set you back $225, up from $190.
Hogwarts Legacy landed on PlayStation Plus’ extra tier this week.
As you can imagine, subscribers are not at all pleased.

“Just cancelled. Hope this results in lots of cancellations but I'm terrified it won't,” wrote Reddit user Jardolam_.
“Holy f**k, I’m out,” added drumeatsleepdude.
“These people are high on something fierce. No thanks,” remarked Educational_Ad8448, while michelobX10 confessed that it may be the final straw for them: “I think this further justifies my decision that this will be my last PlayStation. If I'm going to be spending this much on a console, might as well just go full PC.”
PlayStation Plus has been impressing subscribers as of late with the addition of bangers like Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Hogwarts Legacy, and Blue Prince, but it’ll have to keep up the effort if it wants to keep fans on side following these price rises.
