Who knows when we’re going to get Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, but since the latest adventure for Sony’s take on Peter and Miles dropped fans have been awfully nervous about it.
Spoilers ahead for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, so if you haven’t played it yet I’d crack on because it’s a bloody good game.
If you’re looking for more Spider-Man content in the meantime though, don’t sleep on Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, it’s peak
At the end of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 when the world has been saved and our heroes could kick up their feet, we were met with several surprise developments.

Out of all of them the biggest surprise was hearing Peter hint that his life as a crimefighter was over, with Miles going on to become the city’s one and only Spider-Man.
This has led fans to believe Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 will be a Miles Morales game, with Peter taking a backseat.
Speaking with TheDirect on the theory, Yuri Lowenthal, who plays Peter in the games, said: "There are very few things that I can say about this game,.... Peter is not gone. He will be a part of the next game and he won't be relegated to the couch, I promise."
While this doesn’t mean he’ll be the main character in the next story it at least hints at him putting the mask back on a couple of times before finally retiring, or returning, in full.

Also teased at the end of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was Silk, who’ll likely be a romance for Miles, and the return of Otto Octavious, who’ll likely be teaming up with Norman Osbourne to create the Green Goblin.
Again there’s no telling when we’ll get Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, but it seems like Insomniac Games is cooking up one hell of a finale… good to know Peter Parker will be there to see it though.
