One of the best co-op games of all time has been removed from the Xbox storefront, alongside several other titles from the same developer.

Back in 2023, Microsoft announced that the Xbox 360 storefront would be permanently closing in 2024.

Many feared that this meant that dozens of games would no longer be available to purchase, but it turned out that a bunch of these 360-exclusive titles could still actually be purchased and played on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S hardware.
However, it turns out that some of these titles might not be as safe as we thought. As one user on the r/xbox subreddit noticed, Valve’s 2008 co-op first-person shooter Left 4 Dead can no longer be purchased through the Xbox storefront.
It seems Left 4 Dead isn’t the only title that’s suddenly been affected either, as several other Valve games that were ported to the Xbox 360 can no longer be purchased, regardless of which Xbox platform you’re playing on.
Avowed is a new Xbox title you can check out though.
From what I can tell, the titles affected are Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, The Orange Box, and basically every Half-Life game that had an Xbox 360 port.

Oddly enough however, both Portal and Portal 2 are still available for purchase. Considering the Xbox 360 port of Portal came out before several of the other Xbox 360 Valve ports, such as Left 4 Dead and The Orange Box, I’m not entirely sure why they haven’t been delisted either.
Thankfully, all of these games saw physical releases on the Xbox 360, so you can still purchase them second-hand.
They are, of course, available on Steam and doubtlessly will be for as long as that storefront remains active (which is hopefully until the end of time), but it’s always a shame to see any game delisted regardless.
