Bend Studio just revealed that Days Gone Remastered is getting some brand new trophies on PlayStation 5, and said trophies imply that they’ll be bringing some new story content along with them.
Earlier this year, Sony announced that a remastered version of Days Gone will be hitting the PlayStation Store on 25 April.
I’ll be honest with you, this came as a bit of a surprise to me. I know every game has its fans, but I can’t think of a Sony exclusive title I enjoyed less than Days Gone - and yet, here we are.

Still, maybe I shouldn’t have been too surprised. The game did sell well after all, with over seven million copies sold as of 2022.
Take a look at the remaster's announcement trailer below.
Also, Days Gone does have an extremely vocal fan base, so I’m sure Sony crunched some numbers somewhere and figured out that a remastered version of the game was a profitable venture.

Well, those fans will doubtlessly be thrilled to hear that Days Gone Remastered isn’t just coming packaged with a brand new coat of paint, as Bend Studio themselves just confirmed that a bunch of new content is also getting added to the game.
As revealed in a Tweet from the official Bend Studio Twitter account, the remastered version of the game will feature new trophies that promise a new Horde Assault mode and a new Permadeath difficulty setting.
That’s not all though, as the trophy “Sarah’s Gift” states that you’ll be able to “find something important to Deacon that was thought lost”.
As TheGamer's Johnny Flores Jr. notes, this is probably a reference to the gas tank Deacon’s original bike sported, which was a gift given to him by Sarah.

Considering you can never actually find this in the original game, it sounds like there might be some kind of new story mission tied to unlocking it in the remastered version of the game.
