The next God Of War game is reportedly taking Kratos to a new location and a new mythology, good because I was getting bored of the chilly Midgard air.
White the ending to God of War Ragnarök was an optimistic one, showing Kratos embrace his role as a god of hope as he was always meant to be, it’s clear the next game is once again gearing him up to slay another pantheon.
He’s prepared for the fight ahead though, as he’s faced two already and even his own demons in God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla
According to leaker DanielRPK the next God Of War game will send Kratos to Egypt and see him thrown down with its rulers.

It sounds like quite the step up in terms of challenge, as the Egyptian Gods are no pushovers and could surpass the Greek Gods in terms of power, I’m sure our angry Spartan will be just fine though.
That said many fans are reluctant to believe this rumour, saying they’d love to see it come to fruition but don’t want to get their hopes up just yet.
In a Reddit thread discussing it, one fan responded by saying: “Will I buy whatever the next God of War is? Yes obviously. Do I trust this leaker? Not really.”
This reluctance to believe could be seen in other comments as well, with some saying DanielRPK is “not exactly a reliable source outside of the MCU.”

On the topic of Kratos going to Egypt though most were down, though one commenter said “I wonder if we'll ever see a big name in the industry tackling a mythology that isn't the usual Greek/Nordic/Egyptian/Japanese. I'd kill for an Aztec or Hindu themed God of War, for instance.”
If the next God Of War game does well perhaps it’ll push the boat out and venture into lesser known mythologies, though the 2018 God Of War game seemed to lay out all the mythologies on the table for the foreseeable future so maybe not.
