The OG God Of War trilogy might be making a comeback sooner than you think, with a special announcement supposedly coming in March.
The God of War we have now is very different to the God Of War we used to have, with Kratos being an entirely new man in more ways than one.
This is even addressed in God Of War Ragnarok’s Valhalla DLC, and beautifully done too
WIth the anniversary of the series on its way in March fans are expecting something big to mark the occasion, and insiders reckon that’s exactly what we’re getting.

Jeff Grub recently took to BlueSky to say “I think that those god of war remaster rumors just jumped the gun a little bit. That stuff will happen closer to this.”
The remasters he'd been talking about were rumoured to be in development last year and many were expecting them to be announced during the recent PlayStation State Of Play showcase.
That of course didn’t happen but it’d make sense if they’re being held back to tie into the upcoming anniversary.
Fans responded to the rumour on Reddit, though many are anticipating disappointment ahead of the supposed announcement.

“Imagine all the Greek remaster speculation and then it's 2018 LOL” said one fan, with another replying "Wouldn't even be surprised. Sony seems dedicated to remastering every single PS4 game regardless of how unnecessary it is.”
“I hope they are going to pull a collection like MGS Legacy Collection. All 2005-2013 games in 1 pack would be great” said another.
It’s been long enough were remasters of the first three games would make sense, and they’d be nice to have in-between the reboot games especially after Kratos faced his former self in the Ragnarok DLC.
We’ll have to wait and see though as the anniversary lands in March so if there’s any time to announce them, it’s then.
