An incredibly well-reviewed game is currently free to play on Steam for the next three days, and it’s perfect for those of you that enjoy playing games where you can screw over your mates.
Barotrauma is a "2D co-op submarine simulator" from developers FakeFish and Undertow Games and publisher Daedalic Entertainment that has a seriously impressive review score on Steam.
It's currently sitting at a 94% "Very Positive" review score with over 50,000 reviews, and it even has an 81/100 score on Metacritic.

So, what’s got players on Steam so impressed?
“The peak moment of this game was when my friend was frantically running around with the fire extinguisher, yelling over Discord that the submarine was on fire,” writes user Calm.
“I headed down to the floor just to see him spraying around, but there was no fire. I hovered my cursor over him and saw the "Hallucinating" effect. 10/10 Realism.”
“Over 550 hours playing this game, vanilla, modded, singleplayer, multiplayer, pvp, finnished the campaign about 3 times, went trough significantly traumatic events,” writes user Vasilevsky.

“It is a good game.”
I’ve had my eye on Barotrauma for a while now, mostly because I’ve seen a bunch of video of the stupid situations people have gotten into online, but my backlog has always been way too big to hop into it.
However, that’s all gonna change from today. I think this game looks like an absolute blast, especially if you can rope some mates into playing with you, and I don’t really have an excuse now that it’s free to play for the next 72 hours.
I highly recommend hitting up some friends and trying to get them to give this one a go over the weekend, because it looks like the type of game that’s best played with mates.
