Skyrim free fan expansion restores cut location to the game

Skyrim free fan expansion restores cut location to the game

Here we go exploring again

Once more, Skyrim fans are keeping the community well-fed, this time by restoring cut content.

No one would suggest that Bethesda’s RPG is without depth – there are plenty of main and side quests to work through before you finish the game.

That being said, Skyrim was meant to have more content than it ended up with.

NexusMods user NinSeishinFudoshin has created a new expansion that restores the wreck of the Argent Raptor, titled ‘The Wreck of the Argent Raptor - Immersion - Location’.

You may not know much about this ship, for it’s only mentioned in passing when chatting with an NPC at the Solitude Docks.

The NPC, known as Xander, speaks of a ship he used to captain called Argent Raptor before it crashed near Windhelm.

Fancy a change of pace? Here's some funny wins and epic fails from Skyrim

Upon visiting the area in question, there’s no sign of a wreckage in sight, which is why NinSeishinFudoshin has created this mod.

“This is a simple immersion mod that adds in the wreck of the ship, intended simply to add continuity to the game,” reads the description.

To further enhance your experience of this new addition, its creator suggests you should use it in tandem with ‘Dynamic Things Alternative - Base Object Swapper’.

“It makes crates and the game's second barrel type into a container so they can be looted [...] Said mod is NOT required for my mod to work, the crates and barrels will simply be static instead without it is all.”

Even though this expansion is still in its infancy, fans are grateful for its creation.

User DEEJMASTER333 said, “Good catch, I saw this mentioned in the Skyrim Re-Cut series and I'm glad there's a standalone mod for it.”

“It's like Skyrim gets more and more complete for each mod of this type,” remarked Myrvarg.

Mods get a bad reputation because of the silly creations that naturally get a lot of attention. Yet, there are many hidden gems to be found that just tighten up the experience we love even further.
