The land of Skyrim has its fair share of horror but this “criminally underrated” free download is about to make things a whole lot scarier for fans in need of new content.
Inspired by Bloodborne, which in turn was inspired by some of the horror greats such as H.P. Lovecraft and Ambrose Bierce, this free download for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim aims to bring multiple new world spaces, a main quest and multiple side quests to the hit Bethesda RPG.

However, the team behind it has been working tirelessly to improve it and now, thanks to its Community Voices project, the mod is fully voiced and better yet, it does not use AI.
“The Drez'kth'ar Horror is a criminally underrated gem. Made over four years by the author, it takes place on the eponymous island and draws heavy inspiration from the works of
cosmic horror writers such as H.P. Lovecraft and Ambrose Bierce,” the mod description reads.
"With a strong focus on quiet, understated dread and environmental storytelling, the new lands/quest mod has not received the attention it deserves, partly due to the lack of voiced dialogue. For better or worse, a lot of people are turned off by having to read subtitles... but that's where this comes in.”

The mod aims to inspire other creators to push the boundaries of their creations by proving that mod authors and talented voice actors can work together in their very own projects.
It aims to give the voice actors more projects to add to their portfolios as well as, of course, giving players the chance to experience brand-new content is one of their favourite games.
The original mod itself adds a Grimdark/Lovecraftian atmosphere to Skyrim by placing emphasis on a “eerie, grim, hopeless and oppressive” environment.
The Drez’kth’ar Horror includes a main quest, multiple new world spaces, and more TES lore to uncover via journals and notes.
