Have you ever played Skyrim and felt it could use some Pokémon magic? Few of us dared to dream of such a crossover, yet it’s (kind of) happened all the same.
There's no end of creatures, both great and small, in Bethesda’s revered title.
From dragons who hold secrets we've never seen before, to werewolves that prowl under the full moon, there’s a lot to discover.

Although there's all manner of beasts to discover, Skyrim hardly gives us the opportunity to properly study them as you would in experiences like Pokémon.
This Skyrim expansion is fantastic
This is where ‘The Dragonborn's Bestiary’ paves the way for a new means of exploration, in which you better understand the fantastical foes you face.

You won’t be able to capture and tame these creatures, unfortunately, but you will be able to “collect information” about them.
“Learn their strengths and weaknesses, and keep track of your feats with kill, summon and transformation counters,” modder JPSteel2 explains.
Given how vast the list of beasties is, this mod has been designed to cover all 122 creatures from the game, including “vanilla, DLC and CC creatures”. In short, you shouldn’t meet a beast this tracker won’t recognise.
Bethesda may have overlooked such a feature, but the fans didn’t. NexusMods user Camp3r69420 said, “Holy crap, this mod is so freaking cool.”

Another referred to this as their “dream mod”.
If you agree that this is an in-game mechanic that’s been “needed for a long time”, you really should check out, and possibly download, ‘The Dragonborn’s Bestiary’.
Although The Elder Scrolls VI is technically already playable, we hope the developers add a similar feature to this in the upcoming game.
Should they not, we fear more fans will be disappointed, like so many are after learning of a quiet cancellation that always felt a little too good to be true.

Adventure is out there, as too are the beasties you need to catalogue.
