The Legend of Zelda inspired upcoming RPG is the prettiest thing you'll see today

This new RPG looks like a link to a certain past Zelda title

This upcoming Nintendo Switch game looks like it could be a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and it’s doubtlessly going to be the prettiest trailer you watch today.

You know, whenever I hear people waxing nostalgic for older titles like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and lamenting how “they just don’t make games like this anymore”, I gotta wonder if these folks have ever heard of the concept of an “indie” game.

That’s because we just got our first trailer for The Requiem Of Shadow, a top-down RPG from developer Point to Stars that will be available on the Nintendo Switch and Steam… at some point.

Yeah, well, don’t blame me for the vagueness on this one, because there really isn’t any more info than that about this game out there at the moment.

The game was shown off during the Latin American Games Showcase earlier last month alongside a trailer, and that’s kinda… it.

Other than describing it as a “Game Boy-inspired action adventure”, the trailer itself is really all we have to go off here. It also appears to be Point to Stars' first game, so I can’t even research the developer in any kind of meaningful way.

There is one little bit of info you can take from the trailer however, and that’s the bit in the description that states that it’s coming to “Switch, Steam, and Kickstarter.”

Assumedly that means we might not even see this game release at all, because it sounds like the Kickstarter (which I cannot find, even after a thorough search) will have to be fully funded before it actually drops.

Not sure why they didn’t opt to drop the Kickstarter alongside the trailer, considering it’s generating a bit of buzz online, but hey… I guess that’s why I don’t work in PR.
