Released in 2011 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was met with instant and widespread critical acclaim praising its visuals, storytelling and sense of adventure. Due to its popularity, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has become one of the most re-released games in existence arriving to every new console generation since its 2011 release with the most recent being on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Some have criticised Bethesda for the seemingly endless ports but if fans stopped buying the game, it wouldn't get re-released as often as it has.
