One of the best games in the Call of Duty franchise is getting a new-gen remaster that will delight OG fans.
The Call of Duty franchise has experienced many ups and downs since its creation. That said, the original games are still held in high regard.
Sadly though, they’re starting to really look their age.

Having first launched in 2005, Call of Duty 2 is 19 years old.
Looking ahead, it's not long before Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches
Although it’s getting on in years, the Steam reviews still praise the experience for being a “true classic” of the video games industry.

Nonetheless, while still an entertaining experience despite its “clunky” bits, fans will undoubtedly be overjoyed to learn that a new-gen revamp is in the works.
Led by modder tadpole3159, the intention is to create a RTX remix mod for the multiplayer aspects of the game.
Some progress has already been made – like the updated version of the Carentan Map – however, much work still needs to be done.
Inevitably, this means that the mod isn’t available to download yet.

But don’t be dismayed, for tadpole3159 has shared some images from the development of the mod thus far.
First impressions are promising.
Not only will the general aesthetic of the game be overhauled, but the modder also intends to add a day/night cycle to Call of Duty 2.

Already deemed an atmospheric experience, we can’t wait to see the difference it makes to battles when they take place at night.
Due to the size of this project, and the work the modder intends to carry out, there’s no release date in sight.
Still, while we’ve got to wait (don’t we always), as you can see from the images shared, this RTX remix mod is off to a fantastic start.
It's nice to see Call of Duty 2 getting the glow up treatment after all this time.
