Despite being considered as one of the most underrated entries in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, this 2014 title has received a free overhaul which might give it the lease of life it was missing.
As the eighth major instalment in the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Unity took players to 18th century Paris during the French revolution. It also introduced them to assassin Arno Dorian as he sought revenge on those responsible for killing his adoptive father.

However, due to game-breaking bugs and a non-compelling story, Assassin’s Creed Unity was snubbed at launch and is considered as one of the weakest entries in the Ubisoft franchise.

Nevertheless, it still features fun gameplay and some of the most fluid parkour out of all the titles. As a result, many players have picked it up years later and, thanks to mods such as the one I am about to talk about, Assassin’s Creed Unity is racking up the fans.
The mod titled ACUFixes created by NameTaken on Nexus Mods aims to fix some annoying bugs as well as adding some quality-of-life touches.
For example, players will now be able to enter windows by pressing R, access a more permissive Quickdrop and Quickshot, remove their hoods, select bombs via the mouse wheel, catch ledges more reliably, auto walk, access improvements to take/leave cover and more.
The mod also offers some cheats to the game’s weather system and disguise feature but these are optional so you don’t have to worry.

Not only that but this overhaul is completely free and is one of thousands of mods available to download to your Assassin’s Creed titles as long as you’re a PC user.
For example, this impressive graphics overhaul for Assassin’s Creed 2 brings the 2009 classic to the modern era of gaming.
