Now to celebrate nine-years of Stardew Valley, developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone has released a brand-new update for the Nintendo Switch version of the game.
Complete with multiple bug fixes as well as new features, players can download it right now at no cost.
This update comes alongside the release of the brand-new Stardew Valley Deluxe Edition in collaboration with Fangamer.
Update 1.6.15.1 is just one of many updates expected to come to Stardew Valley (even fifty years from now according to its developer) despite them currently working on their new Haunted Chocolatier game.

For now, however, this update which was released on 26 February has a multitude of patch notes that were posted to Twitter, alongside a heartwarming message for fans.
“Also, thank you for playing Stardew Valley for 9 years (today is the anniversary). I appreciate everyone who enjoys the game, whether you share that online or just feel it in your heart.”
The update includes performance enhancements for the Nintendo Switch version as well as some quality-of-life changes.
For example, there is now an increase in roe from legendary fish ponds, and players will no longer lose fish if they pass out whilst actively fishing or whilst holding it.
