The Nintendo Switch had a good run, but it’s time is coming to an end. Fortunately it’s going out with a bang.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is finally out in the open and a lucky few will be able to try it out for themselves over the next few months via hands-on events.
Take a look at Nintendo’s major announcement below
Unfortunately the release date is still unknown, but there’s a pretty solid chance that it launches sometime towards the end of Summer, that remains to be seen though.

What we do know if the Nintendo Switch will still be supported for the foreseeable future albeit in a reduced capacity.
As part of its send-off as Nintendo’s latest console rumour has it that players can expect one more major title to say goodbye with.
These rumours come from PH Brazil and should obviously be taken with a pinch of salt, but they’re saying the upcoming Nintendo Direct will give us one last Nintendo Switch surprise before it becomes a thing of the past.
It’s said it’ll be a new entry in a well-known series, but not one of a large scale so don’t expect any 3D Mario platformers.

It’s also worth mentioning that this mystery game is not a remaster apparently, it’s a brand-new title.
Anyone who still owns a Nintendo Switch by the end of the year can also look forward to games we’ve known of for a while, like the new Metroid Prime game and Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which is reportedly being developed with the Switch in mind first, the Switch 2 later.
Again take this with a pinch of salt but it wouldn’t be that surprising to see Nintendo release one last banger for its current console, after all the Nintendo Switch 2 will be backwards compatible.
