Hogwarts Legacy took the world by storm when it was first released in early 2023, cementing itself as the best-selling game of the year.
Set 100 years before the events of the much-loved Harry Potter book and movie series, the story follows a customised witch/wizard as they juggle their studies at Hogwarts with the emerging threat of Dark wizards.
However, since its launch, Hogwarts Legacy has become a victim of a content-drought as despite Warner Bros. and Avalanche Software promising regular updates, that has not been delivered.
Since its release, fans have only received a summer update that came alongside mere cosmetics and the addition of a Photo Mode that many claimed was unneeded.

However, earlier this year, we saw insiders reveal that both a DLC and an extended edition of Hogwarts Legacy were in development alongside Hogwarts Legacy 2.
Although a sequel is reportedly still in the works, the DLC and extended edition have since been cancelled and it would now seem as though this was due to the team turning its attention to its Switch 2 version.
Luckily, the Switch 2 edition of Hogwarts Legacy comes alongside enhanced graphics and sought after features so hopefully, this will inspire the developers to work on extra content in the future.
Regardless, it is exciting news for fans of the hit RPG as it will now be available on the go with the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 release this summer.
