Someone has remade Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag in Unreal Engine 5, and it’s dying for a full release.
If there’s any Assassin’s Creed game that desperately needs a remake, it’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. It’s been proven time after time that Ubisoft know how to make a gorgeous open-world, so a remake that expands the Carribean to the scale of games like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a no-brainer.

Others obviously think the same as I do, as an Unreal Engine 5 concept for an Assassin’s Creed IV remake has been shared online, and it’s jaw-droppingly beautiful.
Shared via the Remastered Gaming Youtube channel, the trailer shows the best Assassin’s Creed protagonist, Edward Kenway, brooding ominously. He then strolls out onto a beautifully lit balcony, illuminated by a sunset as the Jackdaw sails into view. The fact this isn’t a genuine Ubisoft product makes me want to cry.
That being said, Ubisoft has been very busy recently with their flagship franchise, with plenty of new games on the horizon, some of which aim to go further into the roots of the series like Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and others expanding on the RPG-style games like Assassin’s Creed Red.
It’s also reported that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, will be getting a full-on remake, which is supposedly in development right now. Adding further credibility is the fact Edward’s story recently got expanded by a web-comic sequel called Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple, so Ubisoft clearly has the guy on their minds.

A full remake, or even a proper sequel, to Black Flag could be revolutionary, especially if they improve on the ship portion of the game, which is one of the only things they could have done a bit better in the original game.
Whether that’s on the cards or not is yet to be officially confirmed, though if it looks half as good as the Unreal Engine 5 concept, fans will be in for a good time.
