It sounds as if several cut Palworld features could potentially be added into the game during a future update.
Palworld totally defied expectations. The indie hit rapidly amassed over 19 million players across Xbox and Steam, and I’m imagining that number has grown since the achievement was announced on 31 January. It also had the biggest third-party launch ever on Xbox Game Pass, so it’s no real surprise that some cloud gaming users had to wait over 40 minutes just to join the servers. Since then, Xbox has announced a new partnership with PocketPair in which they’ll provide devs to help support and expand the game. On the topic of expansion, it’s rumoured that several cut features may soon return to the game.
Take a look at Palworld in action below.
As reported by Dexerto, it was Reddit user Unhappy_Panic_1875 who took to the site to document the fact that there are around 20 features included in Palworld’s original trailer that do not appear in the current build of the game, suggesting they were removed during development.

Those features, items, and abilities are: a rideable cart pulled by Direhowls, an advanced Pengullet building system, more complex house architecture, shaving Lambals to obtain wool, Mozzarina being able to mow down crops of wheat, being able to give belly rubs to Direhowl, a Pals transportation cage, village destruction, Jormuntide’s trainer, a sniper rifle with a scope, improved gardening, the ability to build a rocket, a floating sky kingdom, a bad guy hideout, fishing, ships, and some kind of portal.
It’s assumed that some of this content will have been cut when the game shifted from Unity to Unreal Engine 5 in order to speed up proceedings of getting the game ready for release, while I’m imagining a couple will just be your standard trailer fodder, intended to drum up hype and set the scene with no intention to appear in the final release. That being said, there are definitely plenty of plausible additions here, and we know devs have big plans to expand Palworld.
While we don’t have concrete confirmation, it stands every chance that a couple of the aforementioned features will end up in Palworld further down the line. All we can do is cross our fingers and trust the process.
