Lance Reddick will star as Hellboy in one of his final roles following his tragic passing last week aged just 60 years old.
The popular actor means something different to everyone. For many, he will forever be the voice of Commander Zavala in the Destiny series. For others, he will be the conniving Sylens in the Horizon franchise, or Charon - the manager at the Continental Hotel in the John Wick saga. Many thought that Reddick’s last known role as an actor was in John Wick: Chapter 4, however, that is not the case. Hellboy Web of Wyrd was announced during The Game Awards 2022 and it seems this will in fact be one of the last roles for the beloved actor.
Take a look at the trailer for Hellboy Web of Wyrd below.
While little is known about the game at the time of writing, we do know that it will be developed by Upstream Arcade and it will be a roguelite action adventure featuring an original story from Dark Horse Comics and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. The art style of the game also looks to remain true to Mignola’s original vision.

It's been confirmed that Lance Reddick will star as the game's lead, none other than the Cambion aka Hellboy. Taking a look at the actor’s IMDb page, no other role past John Wick: Chapter 4 is detailed. It awaits to be seen if Reddick will star in next month's Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores. What’s more, as reported by Wccftech, Mike Mignola had this to say on the passing of Lance Reddick: “I'm stunned. I was just with him a couple of weeks ago as he was doing the voice of Hellboy for a new computer game - he was so great and such a nice guy. And just so young! Just too sad.”
Following the passing of Lance Reddick, thousands of Destiny 2 players paid their respects to Commander Zavala with a heart-warming tribute in The Tower.
Hellboy Web of Wyrd doesn't have a release date at the time of writing, but we do know that it will release “for all major gaming consoles and PC”.
