Fallout 4 may be celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year but thanks to dedicated fans, secret locations and Easter eggs are still being discovered to this day.
It is clear that Bethesda was thinking long-term when it comes to Fallout 4’s post-apocalyptic open-world map as, despite being a decade on, fans are still taking to social media to share seemingly new locations they have stumbled upon during replays.
Check out the Fallout 4 launch trailer below!
That was definitely the case for smashingpoptart over on r/fo4 who shared a new location with fellow fans.

“I just found out about Spectacle Island,” they shared.
“I have been playing this game since it came out. Jumping in and playing for long periods of time. You know how it goes.
I'm back playing the game now for a while and pretty heavily too. But I just now found out about Spectacle island.
This was so wild to me, I never thought to even look out into the water past Warwick Homestead. AND you can make it a settlement! This island is a goldmine and I'm shocked I just now found it. So much to do here, it’s great.”

Located on an island on the coast southeast of Boston, near Warwick Homestead, Spectacle Island was once home to an eccentric millionaire with dreams of his own island paradise.
However, after the Great War, the island became abandoned and that is why the Sole Survivor can choose to make it their home by building their very own settlement.
For one user, they also stumbled across it in a similar fashion.
“Way back on my first playthrough when I first saw there was an island on the map, I was immediately intrigued and headed there as soon as possible,” they shared.

“I think it's really cool how there's no quest or anything that leads there, just your own curiosity. I think there should be more things in open-world games like that.”
User Kizmo2 also made the island their home.
“It's my favorite settlement location,” they added.
“I set up homey little houses all over, like a retirement village, then let Deathclaws and robots do the security work.”

It just goes to show what you could discover if you walk off the beaten track in Fallout 4.
