I think it’s safe to say that Horizon Forbidden West is a pretty dang good game, and it seems that everyone else knows that, too. In the UK, it was the best selling boxed and digital game in the week it released, which is nothing to be sniffed at. It also managed to get double the amount of digital sales in just a week that its predecessor, Zero Dawn, managed in the full month after its release in 2017.
No game is without its issues though, and it did launch with a number of bugs, which can obviously be both irritating and immersion-breaking. Thankfully though, Guerrilla Games have now released the 1.06 patch, which fixes a lot of the problems that fans have been complaining about online. Rejoice!

As reported by ScreenRant, one of the most annoying glitches that players have been subjected to is Aloy’s obsession with talking about her stash, so you’ll probably be pleased to hear that following the new update, she doesn’t do this quite so often. Another thing that’s been fixed is photo mode, or more specifically, the visuals during it. Fans may have previously noticed that changing up Aloy’s poses makes some of her outfits look a bit blurry, but this is also now a thing of the past - nice, crisp photos for all.

There’s also been a whole lot of fixes for problems that blocked progression during both main and side quests - you can check out the full details in the patch notes here, but keep in mind that there’s some potential spoilers floating around in there too, so be wary of those if you’re not done with the game yet.
Guerrilla also noted that they’re still working on fixing some graphical issues (which we highlighted in our review), and are also investigating reports that some players haven’t been able to reach 100% in the Game Progression menu, so it sounds like they’re far from done when it comes to patches. Fans have also been encouraged to report any issues they find via the Horizon support form, so be sure to do that if you know of anything that’s not yet been fixed.
