The sentence many of us want to hear is “Star Wars: The Acolyte is back” but sadly, that’s not likely to happen after the show was cancelled.
It is kind of back, in that Disney are releasing an art book that showcases some of the gorgeous set design, costumes, and concept art for the show.
The art of The Acolyte will be celebrated in a new book
Over on the Star Wars website, the book has been showcased, giving details about what fans can find in the pages.

The book is available to pre-order now, and is due for release on 7 October 2025.
Perfect for fans of “Mae, Osha, and oh, yes, the Stranger,” notes the description.
Fans over on Reddit are torn on this new release - some because they don’t believe the show deserves the art book, others because The Acolyte has this book, yet Andor doesn’t have its own.
“So there will be an "Art of the Acolyte" book before an "Art of Andor" book?!?!?!?!? I cry shenanigans!!!!!” exclaims the creator of the Reddit thread.

Other Star Wars fans jump in to placate, and one steps in to show The Acolyte some love.
“I actually really respect Acolyte. They approached their show like Andor in the sense that they were trying to break the mold on what Star Wars is,” said PlanitDuck.
In another thread, one fan calls the new book release, “Stunning!!!”
Really, all great looking shows and films deserve to be celebrated with these books, whether you connected with the show or not.

Hundreds of hard-working artists and creatives put time and effort into the show, so it’s great to see their work shown off.
Personally, I loved The Acolyte and was sad to see it end. As my colleague Kate puts it, “Star Wars fans don’t know good TV even if it slaps them in the face.”
