Here at GAMINGbible, I’m known for my adoration of the Horizon franchise.
And so, like many of you out there, I’m awaiting news of what'll assumedly be the series’ third and final mainline instalment.
Horizon Forbidden West and its DLC, Burning Shores, both set up a concluding chapter in this story; I feel it’s a matter of ‘when’ and not ‘if’ when it comes to the unannounced sequel.

Perhaps it’s closer than we think.
Guerrilla Games hasn’t released anything since 2023’s Burning Shores, so it’s got a few years development on something under its belt.
Of course, LEGO Horizon Adventures launched last year, but development was largely handled by Studio Gobo.
Well, you can imagine my excitement when I recently had the opportunity to catch up with the delightful Ashly Burch - yes, Aloy herself - at the recent BAFTA Games Awards.

LEGO Horizon Adventures is simply beautiful to look at.
I wasn’t silly enough to ask Ashly if Horizon 3 exists as even if that’s the case, she’s most certainly not going to be able to say anything.
I did, however, want to discuss where we left things in Burning Shores because as a fan, it was so beautiful to finally see Aloy find love in Seyka.

It was hardly ever in doubt, but when I asked Ashly if she was excited to see where that relationship might lead, she responded, “I am.”
“I really loved Burning Shores a lot because it's such a nice narrative development from Forbidden West. I feel like in Forbidden West, Aloy learned that she can't just be a lone wolf and do everything by herself. She has to open herself up to people and so it really sets the stage to have this sweet romance in Burning Shores.”
“And so it was really fun to explore that layer to her character; that she's sort of bumbling when it comes to dating,” Ashly continued. “She doesn't know what to do when she likes someone. It was really, really fun, so yeah, I hope that we get to explore that side of her more if there's another game.”
If you haven’t played LEGO Horizon Adventures, it’s certainly a more energetic, family-friendly take on the story, which made for a fresh experience for Ashly.

“It was really nice to get to play an Aloy that gets to enjoy herself and, you know, wear stupid costumes and not worry so much about saving the world,” she said.
And as for whether Ashly would love to see Forbidden West’s story converted into a LEGO brick tale: “Oh, of course. I'd be very curious [to see] what they would do with Tilda. That's an interesting storyline to try to make kid friendly. Maybe she wants them to be best friends forever.”
I’d play it.
