As of late, all eyes have been on Grand Theft Auto VI. Rockstar are keeping pretty hush-hush about the project but leaks suggest that it’s set to feature a Bonnie & Clyde style duo and will take place in Vice City. One fan theory claims that a full reveal could take place in October but amidst all of the excitement, some GTA Online players have noted that the title’s become “unplayable.” Oof.
Check out this incredible mod which adds The Boys’ Homelander into GTA V.
I say some players, because it seems to be previous-gen console owners who are experiencing issues. Those playing GTA Online on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have reported experiencing pop-in, bad textures, glitches, and lags. Taking to Reddit, user Cruddzoy wrote, “What it’s like playing GTA Online with an old-gen console, because we can’t afford a new console.” The accompanying clip showed what I can only describe as a mess. Take a look below.
Users flocked to the comments to share similar experiences. Ozthedevil wrote, “So true man, especially on public lobby,” with Jai-II-S006 noting, “I can’t count the amount of times I’ve flown into unrendered buildings.”

LionSinzahn commented, “What in the actual f**k did Rockstar do to you guys on old-gen consoles after the update? That’s unplayable.” Many theorised that Rockstar may purposely be trying to wind down previous-gen support. GuessWhoDitit_ said, “It only started after the new criminal enterprises update. Maybe they are really forcing us to switch to new-gen.” Rockstar are yet to comment on the issue.
