It’s another bright and sunny day, you wake up to a notification on your phone and see that it’s from Rockstar Games on Twitter.
Yes! This is it, this is the moment. It’s finally here. After 500 days since the first trailer for GTA VI was shown, we’re going to see either the second trailer, or a release date. Your excitement is palpable.
Stand down, this is still not trailer 2 for GTA 6
Taking a deep breath to calm yourself, you prepare to open Twitter.

You’ve spent months on Reddit analysing the leaks, looking through the first trailer scene by scene to work out the side missions, how big Vice City will be, and even what the strip clubs will be like.
Your finger is shaking a little as you unlock your phone and press the Twitter icon.
Instantly all that hope, that passion, your dreams… shattered.
The tweet from Rockstar Games says, “Experience the best version of GTAV and GTA Online on PC with GTAV Enhanced.”

It continues, “Free upgrade for all players who already own GTAV on PC.”
But you’ve already played GTA V, you just finished your 27th playthrough only yesterday.
Legions of fans are as unhappy as you.
“Again???!!! and GTA VI what???!!!” exclaims one passionate player.

“Don’t tweet again unless it’s GTA6 news,” demands another.
You can’t believe Rockstar Games is doing it again, taking all your hopes and dashing them against the wall.
You know they’re sitting in their offices, laughing at you and millions of other fans as you frantically check the phases of the moon.
You’re about to send a tweet of despair, but notice that someone else said exactly what you wanted to - “I swear, I don't even want to play GTA 6 after this absolute milking.”

Maybe tomorrow is the day. Maybe next week?
You put on the clown makeup for another day, take a big huff of copium from the new canister delivered on the weekend.
Before going about your day, you like one more tweet that says, “We got a new GTA 5 trailer before GTA 6.”
