Well, this is a sad thought. Given the colossal wait between GTA V and GTA VI, some fans are wondering whether they’ll be around to experience GTA VII.
GTA VI’s trailer has generated more hype than I think any of us expected - and trust me, we expected a LOT of hype. Fans are blown away by the graphics, with one developer confirming the gameplay will match the trailer for graphical fidelity. A small minority have complained that the game is ‘too woke’ but thankfully, most of us are ignoring that nonsense. We do now know that GTA VI is set to land in 2025 where it’ll launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Yes, that means it’s looking like the PC version will land a fair while later. GTA V’s PC version took two years to land. You can understand why fans are already worried about GTA VII.
Take a look at GTA VI’s new trailer below.
Some fans are concerned they will no longer be interested in gaming by the time GTA VII is released, while others are just wondering if they’ll be here at all. Reddit user rasticool wrote, “When GTA III came out, I was 25. By the time GTA VII comes out, I will be 50 years old. I don't think I'll ever be able to play GTA VII,” with the post garnering 6,000 upvotes at the time of writing.

I’m not talking about a jovial sense of worry here. Fans truly are conscious of the passage of time between GTA releases. Sharing their story, user accurate_ad9742 wrote, “My father died this year of ataxia. He showed me gaming and he played a lot. [...] When GTA V came out, we were both crazy [about it]. Now he is in the sky, but I think he is gonna be with me when GTA VI comes out.”
User rgumai said, “As I get older, ‘That game will be out in five years’ weighs so much more now,” plus thedevilsadvokaat wrote, “I'm 60 and not in good health and I'm pretty sure it's the same for me. Still GTA VI looks nice.” I can only wish for good health and happiness for all of us.
