Fans have been preparing for a massive map since well before the GTA VI trailer dropped, however, it seems the map is bigger than first thought.

It could be more misplaced hype over nothing, but we predict a bumpy week ahead, regardless.
With all this gossip flying about, it makes sense then that attention has turned to the size of the new GTA map.

By analysing both locations the game's are set in, one can determine the size of the map in the next instalment.
At least, that’s the theory the OP is working with.

“That’s a great observation mate,” replied SimpleSammy21, “An entire state to explore definitely ramps up the excitement and immersion. It’ll be amazing to have a full map to dive into instead of just a region.”
Someone else remarked on how the boundaries of the GTA VI map are “almost invisible”, unlike in GTA V.
“Every scene in the trailer/leaks looks so wide that the boundaries are almost invisible, and the proportions of buildings and streets are very realistic unlike V. You can basically see the entire map in GTA V trailer,” Own_Invite_693 posted.
All indications point to a detailed, ambitious map that will have us exploring every nook and cranny.
