A new look at the GTA VI map has been revealed, and some fans are divided about what this means for the full game.
Grand Theft Auto VI is supposedly releasing later this year, and we’re still waiting on Rockstar Games to release a second trailer.
With there still being a long wait to go, GTA VI fans have spent the last year mulling over the first trailer to find any details that can tell us about what the full game will be like.

Here's everything we know about GTA VI so far.
One feature in particular that has fans excited is what the eventual GTA VI map will turn out to be, with the GTA VI Mapping Project being a key part of it.
Using snippets from trailers, real-life geography, and a lot of speculation, fans have slowly been piecing together their predictions for what the GTA VI Vice City map will look like.

The current GTA VI mapping project shows what appears to be the main Vice City, plus the surrounding countryside and ocean.
There are a few versions, but all seem to be using the same general layout.
It’s worth remembering that this is only speculation though, which is exactly what one Reddit user shared with the GTA VI community.
“Before we get too hyped about the incredible mapping project,” they wrote in a post over on the GTA VI Reddit page, “Let’s remember that this is the version of the map without any speculation, using just the tangible information we have.”

The post then shares an image that features just a small area of the game that has been confirmed so far.
See it for yourself below.
“Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but to my understanding the more advanced version going around has highly speculative borders and areas,” the poster continued in the comments section.

“To my knowledge this is (one of) the only version that only used what we know for a facts which is data and coordinates from the leaks and trailers.”
“This is true but the GTA V mapping project had far less than we have for GTA VI and look how accurate that turned out to be,” another comment wrote.
However, it’s worth noting that more promotions had been released for GTA V than what we have so far for GTA VI, so that game had the benefit of more available material to make up the mapping project.
“What if it turns out that this is more or less all they have?” another post worried. “No second city, just the biomes shown in trailer one.”

We’ll hold out for a more thorough reveal from Rockstar. Until then, any official map you’ll see for GTA VI is bound to be filled with speculation. So, temper your expectations wisely.
