News on the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto VI is scarce, and fans are getting restless, now believing Rockstar is teasing them with the release in blog posts.
Rockstar Games release regular blog posts for Grand Theft Auto Online, informing current players of upcoming updates, new missions/events, rewards and vehicles that can be won through the in-game casino’s prize wheel. These posts are often written in the same satirical tone that the GTA games are known for, usually poking fun at real-life events or people.
Now, fans are speculating that the highly-anticipated sequel’s release was teased in a previous post, specifically in a description of one of the previous Diamond Casino’s podium vehicles.

The description for the vehicle states: “Every year comes with the hopeful promise that this year will be the year everything finally comes together … Well, 2023 could be that year,”
Reddit user FrequentUser2 shared the description on the GTA 6 subreddit, saying: “Dead giveaway that the announcement is gonna be this year?”
Other fans agreed that the wording is too quirky to not be some sort of hint, possibly for a trailer or a release date announcement.

One hopeful user replied: “I genuinely believe we will get something this year. Perhaps a teaser in September. That will mark 10 years of GTA V too.”
Another said: “they can't have wrote that without thinking about gta 6”
As with every GTA VI theory, take this with an enormous bag of salt, though it wouldn’t be out of the question for Rockstar Games to sow the seeds of an announcement right under our noses. They’ve always been quite clever when hinting at new projects, often doing so in a fun and teasing manner.
That being said, it’s becoming increasingly frustrating that all we’ve had to go off so far is the game’s confirmed existence and a heap of rumours and gameplay leaks. It’s no wonder that fans are driving themselves mad with speculation and theories.

Hopefully, news on the eagerly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto V sequel comes sooner rather than later.
