Rockstar, quit playing with us like this.
If you’re anything like me, I’m sure your heart skips a beat every time you see a social media notification from the studio.
That feeling is likely to intensify if there’s a video attached to said social post, which is exactly what happened yesterday.

No, Rockstar Games did not finally drop GTA VI’s second trailer as we all hoped it might have upon seeing the tweet.
Instead, the studio trolled us all by advertising GTA V Enhanced which has been available for PC users to download for free for quite some time.
“Experience the best version of GTA V and GTA Online on PC with GTA V Enhanced,” the tweet read.
“Free upgrade for all players who already own GTA V on PC, also now available to play with PC Game Pass from the Xbox app on PC.”

It won’t surprise you to discover that the GTA fanbase is running out of patience.
GTA VI’s original trailer dropped all the way back in December of 2023.
“Why a trailer after a whole month?” asked Yoblapyo in reply to the tweet.

“We got a new GTA V trailer before GTA VI,” said GTASixJoker.
“Don’t tweet again unless it’s GTA VI news,” added a frustrated uncle_vaughn.
“Oh look another tweet about a 12 year old game,” declared letsk1lltonight.
Users over on Reddit felt much the same; “They just trolling at this point,” said Excellent-Horror-142.

Take-Two Interactive boss Strauss Zelnick has made it clear that marketing won’t ramp up until much closer to the game’s release, and GTA VI is now expected to drop in October or November.
As such, I doubt we’ll see or hear much before mid to late summer, so I’d expect to be disappointed by more than a few Rockstar tweets between now and then.
All I can offer is this: GTA VI will surely be worth the wait.
