Rockstar Games knows how badly we want GTA 6 news, and by God they're only too happy to mess with us.
For those that haven't been keeping up with all the latest GTA 6 news, we... know the game is in development. That's pretty much it, as far as the official word goes. Okay, so there were those leaks just a few months ago that appeared to confirm the game's setting and female protagonist, but beyond that? Rockstar is keeping mum.
That's why, every single time Rockstar posts anything these days, fans instantly assume it has something to do with GTA 6. To be fair, this latest teaser really looked like it could have been building up to something big.

Last night (December 15), Rockstar Games' Twitter account shared a cryptic 15-second clip of the company logo bathed in a kaleidoscope of colourful lights. The vague nature of the video led many to believe that something GTA 6 was coming, but it didn't take others long to realise it was actually a teaser for GTA Online's new Los Santos Drug Wars update.
It probably didn't help matters much that in the minutes after the video was posted several notable Rockstar and GTA Twitter accounts got very excited. Popular Rockstar news-giver Tez2 tweeted: “Yall seeing GTA 6 or it’s just me?” It wasn't long before others agreed.
Basically, I think Rockstar Games just isn't allowed to post anything at all until it has a GTA 6 trailer. Otherwise it might just reduce the entire internet to a blubbering heap of anxious tears in the corner.

At least we have the shiny new Los Santos Drug Wars update to enjoy for now, which comes with some brand-new story content, new graphical updates, and plenty more besides. No, it's not GTA 6, but it'll do for now.
