The year is 2062. We live on the moon now. The kids from Stranger Things are co-Presidents of the United States Of America. Vegan cheese finally tastes nice. And Grand Theft Auto VI is still a few years away.
The question of Grand Theft Auto VI's release date has been at the forefront of fans' minds for close to a decade now. It doesn't help that it's quite obvious nobody has any idea when it's actually releasing. Depending on which analyst or expert you ask, the long-awaited Rockstar title could be coming anywhere between 2023 and 2027.
Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive hasn't had much to say about GTA VI beyond the fact that the project is in development.

“We are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway,” Take-Two and Rockstar Games wrote in a blog post earlier this year. People got very excited, starved as they as are for news on the game.
Unfortunately, fans are once again getting a little nervous. Take-Two has released details of its upcoming release schedule for the next couple of years, and GTA VI is nowhere to be seen.
As shared by Industry insider Tom Henderson on Twitter, Take-Two's FY23-FY25 Pipeline Details is a document that outlines the games the company plans to release over the three-year period. The list includes Marvel's Midnight Suns, the new Tales From The Borderlands, and even a mobile port of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. But not a peep from GTA VI.
Naturally, this has sparked some concern that this means we won't be seeing GTA VI until at least 2026, which is certainly something that's been suggested by leakers and insiders before now.

However, the document does go on to clearly state that Take-Two will be adding new titles to the slate as they're announced, which means there's still hope for GTA VI before 2025... assuming we do get a trailer and full announcement at some point soon, that is.
