GTA VI is not getting delayed according to Rockstar Games’ publisher, though fans aren’t convinced.
Since it’s going to be one of the biggest games of the decade, it’s natural folks are nervous about GTA VI coming out on time.
Check out the trailer for GTA VI below.
According to reports from Rockstar Games’ publisher Take-Two Interactive, the game is indeed launching on Xbox and PlayStation platforms sometime during Autumn 2025.

The PC release will likely come later as it did when GTA V came out, though how much later remains to be seen.
There are several reports that the game is behind schedule, but there’s nothing to really disprove or prove that since we haven’t seen any actual gameplay so far, only in-engine cutscenes.
Alongside these reports is the idea that the game is going to be delayed closer to launch, with some believing it’ll be pushed back to sometime in 2026.
Ex-Rockstar developers have been asked about this, saying it’s too early to tell if the game’s release date will be affected in any meaningful way.

Take-Two Interactive is committed to that 2025 launch time though, and in all likelihood, that is when the game is going to come out.
The Grand Theft Auto series is Rockstar’s biggest IP ahead of Red Dead Redemption, and the last entry, GTA V, made a ridiculous amount of money through both its initial sales and microtransactions for GTA V Online.
Take-Two Interactive will likely know how long it’ll take for GTA VI to be finished, and has likely chosen a late 2025 release date to ensure the game is in the best state possible for launch.
Of course, take this with a pinch of salt as situations can quickly change, like what we’ve seen with Assassin’s Creed Shadows getting pushed into next year, though there really doesn’t seem to be anything to worry about yet.
