Grand Theft Auto VI remains shrouded in mystery.
Given that we’re now in October, we’re just two months shy of the one-year anniversary of the game’s reveal trailer.
And I have to say, I’m surprised that remains all we have to go on.

I didn’t expect Rockstar Games to put pedal to the metal too soon, but I did think perhaps some screenshots might’ve surfaced to maintain momentum.
But perhaps that’s the thing. GTA VI doesn’t need momentum. It’s by far the most anticipated game the industry has ever seen.
Rockstar did surface to pin down that the game is specifically targeting a fall launch window, so we should see GTA VI land sometime in September, October, or November.
We’re still yet to see any gameplay though, nor do we know what’s happening regarding a PC launch or the future of GTA Online.

Presumably, GTA Online will be replaced with a GTA VI quality successor.
Key word being presumably. Like I said, we don’t know. But fans are in agreement that should a GTA Online successor surface, they’re excited by the idea of starting from scratch.
You may as well watch it once more. Take a look at GTA VI’s OG reveal trailer below.

“I’m excited to start from scratch in GTA VI Online,” they began. “I played Online quite a bit when it [was] first released 11 years ago. But like many people, I fell off and stopped playing. I recently tried to get back into it, but there is just so much stuff and the economy is so screwed up, that it's pretty much impossible for a beginner to get into without investing 40 hours a week into the game.”
They continued, “A clean slate will allow so many people to be on a level playing field. That's the ideal situation, and people are going to have to come to terms with leaving their old character behind in Los Santos.”
Plenty of users responded in agreement.
“Doing jobs and working on my businesses one by one, saving up till I can buy another, was actually kinda fun. Expanding my network, getting more ways to make money so I don't do the same [thing] several times, I quite enjoyed that, so I'm looking forward [to] starting again in a new city,” wrote DoeDon404.

“Starting fresh will bring back the excitement and give everyone a fair shot in GTA VI Online,” agreed SimpleSammy21.
I’m in full agreement with the OP. I hopped on the GTA V bandwagon pretty late, so GTA Online always felt a tad too intimidating to me.
But a successor with a level playing field? Bring it on.
