GTA 6 price leaks online, and it's oddly specific

Uh oh, here we go again

Grand Theft Auto VI’s price has seemingly leaked online and if you found yourself outraged by the recent reveal of the pricing of Mario Kart World, you’re probably not going to like what I have to say next.

It was just last week that Nintendo held its hugely successful Nintendo Switch 2 Direct which, safe to say, left us all positively hyped.

That was until the showcase ended and we saw how much everything unveiled would cost.

Currently, Nintendo Switch games hold a top RRP of £59.99; that’s due to rise to £74.99 for the upcoming day one launch Mario Kart World, if you purchase the game physically.

It’s a move that’s upset many but, of course, not all.

Some argue that a family-friendly game shouldn’t be that out-of-reach for so many would-be players; others say that this simply brings Nintendo’s pricing in line with that of Xbox and PlayStation.

There’s also now the very real concern that maybe analysts previously weren’t too far wrong in suggesting that Rockstar GamesGTA VI could charge $100.

It is the most anticipated game of all-time so if £74.99 is the new top-end rate, you can understand why some may think it’ll slip above that.

Well, the game’s price has reportedly just surfaced on one retailer’s website.

You can take a look at GTA VI’s trailer below.

As reported by Times of India, Swiss retailer Swiss Francs recently pushed a listing of GTA VI live with the price equating to roughly $112 USD.

The page has since been revoked, but it was available for enough time that the price listed has caused a right ruckus.

The previous estimate of $100 riled everybody up, so you can imagine that $112 isn't going down all that well either.

What I will say is that we have to take this information with a hefty pinch of salt.

Many retailers use placeholder prices until information is relayed to them by a publisher.

In fact, we saw it before pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 surfaced - and many of them were wrong.

It’s with this in mind that we shouldn’t jump on the train of bashing Rockstar, not just yet anyway.

I’m sure the truth regarding the game’s pricing will come to light in the near future.

Even still though, if this one is a must-buy for you, I’d start saving up now.
