Stray was finally released out into the world this week after an agonising wait. You know when a kitten spends half the day staring out the window because it’s not allowed to go outside yet but it so desperately wants to? That’s been my attitude to watching the trailer over the past few months, waiting for BlueTwelve Studio to announce a release date.
In our glowing review, Ewan wrote that Stray was “stunning, creative, funny, and filled with moments that genuinely made my jaw drop.” In its first day of release, Stray broke a major Steam milestone for Annapurna Interactive but it’s not just humans that are enjoying the game. Our feline friends are too.
Cats are enjoying Stray just as much as we are. Take a look at their adorable and wholesome reactions below.
It doesn’t take much to fascinate a cat. As any cat owner has learnt, any kind of cardboard box or piece of string will do, but Stray really has stimulated the feline senses. Some of our fluffy friends inquisitively responded by patting the screen with their tiny toe beans. Others cowered away from the peculiar screen invader. One cat by the name of Grace seemed to engage in a right meow-off.

Personally, I haven’t shown Stray to my cat just yet but I can already see Jasper’s wide-eyed expression in my mind. If you have played Stray and thought to yourself, ‘What is my cat actually thinking?’ I have just the thing for you as GAMINGbible’s very own Eevee the cat reviewed Stray from a feline perspective and it’s a unique read.
BlueTwelve Studio recently introduced fans to the game’s three real life furry stars, and there’s even an official Stray cat merch line. I’m obsessed. Paws down, a game of the year contender.
