We’re officially less than two months away from the launch of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which is shaping up to be one of the series’ most ambitious entries.
Dual protagonists Yasuke and Naoe will lead the latest entry, taking players to feudal Japan.
After last year’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage opted for a ‘back to basics’ approach, Assassin’s Creed Shadows seeks to innovate.

This time around, your environment and the seasons will alter the gameplay experience.
Long grasses will make stealth much easier in summer, but that approach becomes nigh impossible to pull off in the barren depths of winter.
In winter, however, foes may huddle around a fire giving you a better opportunity to make your attack compared to in summer when enemies may more likely be spread out.
It’ll be exciting to see what other subtle changes the seasons will result in.

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to wait until 15 November to find out.
In the meantime though, it’s come to light that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is getting a 60fps new-gen update for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 consoles.
Take a look at Assassin’s Creed Shadows in action below.
Seemingly, Ubisoft’s Latin American Twitter page made the announcement early in a now-deleted post.

Thankfully, the post was spotted by Aroged.
Translated to English, the post read, “Which Assassin's Creed game have you played the most? (Maybe Syndicate will take the top spot with the new update that brings 60fps),” which is hardly subtle.
You may recall that earlier this year, it was suggested that Assassin’s Creed Unity might be receiving a 60fps update to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
With Ubisoft beavering away on a hub platform for Assassin’s Creed games, it doesn’t surprise me that that may come with new-gen updates for as many titles as possible.

The UbisoftLatam tweet presumably wouldn’t have been prepared too far ahead of the official statement which means we could get confirmation very soon.
Diving into a 60fps Assassin’s Creed Syndicate sounds like a great way to spend time to me.
