This charming new Steam game can be described as The Legend of Zelda meets Stardew Valley and you can check it out for free today courtesy of a downloadable demo.
If we ever hear of a game that’s The Legend of Zelda crossed with Stardew Valley, then you can bet it will pique our interest. Developed by Cogs and Gears Games, one such title is the potential new indie darling, Sky Ahoy.
Check out the Sky Ahoy trailer below!
By the looks of its trailer, Sky Ahoy captures some of the adventuring essence of The Legend of Zelda series by embarking on quests and venturing into deadly caves for precious loot with the added visual vibe of the old-school NES and SNES entries.

Moreover, Sky Ahoy not only has that visual charm but players can craft and create to their heart's content. The world of Sky Ahoy will also evolve depending on the choices you make in-game.
“Pirates and Adventure! Rediscover ancient artefacts from before the sky islands formed, anything from umbrellas to laser guns,” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam.
“Your father was a famous archaeologist who found ancient technology and integrated it into the steam-powered technology which is all that is left,” the synopsis continues.
“He heard of a new power source to replace the pressurised capsules of air referred to as steam capsules. He dedicated years to trying to find it but eventually went missing just as he got close.”

Sky Ahoy doesn't have a confirmed release date at the time of writing but considering that the demo is available right now, hopefully, it’s not too far away. In the meantime, you can add Sky Ahoy to your Steam wishlist to be notified of when it’s ready to launch.
I’ll have my fingers crossed that it will also be released on the Nintendo Switch one day because it looks suited for the hybrid console, especially in handheld mode.
