After nearly two years of waiting since the last update, we finally know that a GTA VI reveal is on the way.
Rockstar Games first announced that the development of Grand Theft Auto VI was underway back in February 2022, following a series of infamous gameplay leaks that were from a very early build of the game. Since that time, Rockstar Games provided no further updates on the progress of the highly anticipated title.

However, that all changed this week when reliable video game journalist Jason Schreier leaked information provided by his sources that Rockstar Games was preparing to reveal a trailer sometime during early December. Following this report, the developer's hand was seemingly forced and it officially confirmed reports.

That being said, while it's an exciting time to potentially finally see GTA VI in action, it’s perhaps important to keep our expectations lowered. After all, we may end up being treated to a small snippet of gameplay and a logo. One would hope that we’ll also get a release date or even just a release window. I guess we’ll find out either way in the coming weeks.
Yet, if you’re familiar with the history of Rockstar Games, other than those gameplay leaks, then you’ll know that the developer is prone to the odd leak or two and it seems that the release window for GTA VI has been circulating the internet.

As shared in a Reddit post, the Twitter account Rockstar Universe claims to have inside sources that have informed them that GTA VI was intended to be released in 2024, but was pushed back to 2025. This potential release window should come as no surprise. Not only has Rockstar informer Tez2 touted the same release window, but so has Rockstar Games publisher Take-Two Interactive. Hopefully, this is a case of there being no smoke without fire.
Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
