Despite first being released almost 30-years ago, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is still widely regarded as one of the best in the series so it is no doubt that fans are still eager to dive into it almost three decades later.
As the first The Legend of Zelda title to welcome 3D graphics, Ocarina of Time marked a brand-new age for Nintendo titles so it is no wonder that it is still appreciated to this day.

However, with Nintendo seemingly busy with the multiple entries that have followed since, Ocarina of Time has been left to, well, time and has not yet received the modern-day remaster or remake treatment.

Luckily, one fan has rectified the issue by working on a Unreal Engine 5 remake and for the first time ever, players will be able to experience a beloved chapter of the game with modern graphics.
The creator, CryZENx, has just released a demo for the Zora’s River section of Ocarina of Time and, thanks to no objections from Nintendo, it is free to download right now.
Unlike other remakes that have come before, this one not only improves graphics but also implements gameplay mechanics, allowing players to explore the environment and also fight some enemies.
They will also have the chance to use the infamous ocarina, break objects, talk to NPCs and collect items for the in-game inventory system.

Not only that but you can expect to see some in-game cutscenes developed in Unreal Engine.
You can grab the free download here but be aware that the game will be locked at 30fps unless you want to pay to unlock its 60fps version.
The creator CryZENx shared that this level took them two months to make and now that the Zora River level has been released, they will next turn their attention to Zora domain.
As you can probably tell, the creator is working on bringing the entirety of Ocarina of Time together, well level at a time so it is definitely worth keeping up-to-date with the project if you wish to see more.
