Nintendo is in an uncharacteristically giving mood this Christmas, as they’ve just announced that some new The Legend of Zelda goodies are now available to the public.
As revealed on the official @ZeldaOfficialJP Twitter account, the soundtrack to The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is now available through the Nintendo Music app.
“Music from ‘The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword’ has been added to the smartphone app ‘Nintendo Music,’ available exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers,” stated the tweet from @ZeldaOfficialJP.

“You can enjoy songs such as ‘The Goddess's Poem (Main Theme)’ and ‘Phi's Theme.’”
In case you missed its launch back at the end of October, Nintendo Music is a new music streaming app for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
It’s basically Spotify for Nintendo songs. I’ve now just realised the release of this app coincided with Nintendo copyright striking every YouTube video in existence that used music from Nintendo games…
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword’s soundtrack is one that I honestly assumed would have already been available through the Nintendo Music app, considering its legacy.

Skyward Sword actually marks the first time that Nintendo used a live orchestra for the soundtrack of a The Legend of Zelda title.
The soundtrack was a huge undertaking for the team, with five separate people assigned to help work on its composition.
Hajime Wakai served as both the lead composer and sound director for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and was assisted by Shiho Fujii, Mahito Yokota, Takeshi Hama and long-time Zelda veteran Koji Kondo.
And damn does it show. I think people are a little bit more positive about Skyward Sword in general these days, but the quality of the game’s score was never in doubt from the second the game dropped.

Hopefully, this means they’ll add the rest of the Splatoon 3 soundtrack to the service sometime soon…
