Stand aside fragile masculinity, there’s a TikToker in town who's going to give you a run for your money when it comes to projecting insecurities onto your spouse.
Taking to TikTok, as one does when one needs to tell the world about nothing particularly important, Jourdan Kehr revealed that she made her husband close his eyes when Florence Pugh’s Oppenheimer sex scene was on screen. Yes, you really did just read that sentence, and re-reading it won’t make it any easier to understand or accept. We thought the AI generated South Park episode would be the nightmare that never ends, but there’s a new contender in town.
Feel the intensity of the Oppenheimer trailer!
The West Virginia based Kehr justified her actions by stating that she experienced “betrayal trauma” after discovering her husband watches porn. In a video that followed her bombshell about shielding her husband from the horrors of Pugh, Kehr said, “I went through betrayal trauma 10 months ago after nine years of marriage.”

She continued, “I was fully under the belief that he didn't look at other women, he didn't self pleasure at other women, porn was the furthest thing from my mind. I never would have thought or believed that he was using porn but he was and I found out about it on September 17, 2022. That was the hardest day of my life. It was the hardest following weeks and following months of my life.”
While we’re not ignorant to how difficult it must be to learn new information about your partner years down the line, watching porn isn’t exactly what I would deem a betrayal. Most adults watch porn on a daily basis. However, everyone has their limits, so I try not to judge.
Consequently, this now means that every time they sit down to watch a movie, Kehr and partner have already discussed their “game plan”. For Pugh’s sexy scenes, Kehr’s husband closed his eyes before resting his head on her shoulders, though the TikToker admits “it was really difficult to avoid” because of how much back and forth there is. Nevertheless, while it's such a monumental task not to watch such a tame sex scene, Kehr praises her husband for his hard work.
“He's been doing all the steps, all the work, everything necessary to not only change, stay sober and reach long-term recovery but to also assure me that he is creating a safe space, he is becoming a trustworthy person and he is showing me the signs that I need by his actions, his behaviours and his patterns that he is going in the right direction,” she said.

Ah, they lived happily ever after, avoiding sex scenes and generally not addressing any underlying issues. Did Pugh deserve to get shunned? Should the hubby have to look away? Will the internet stop roasting Kehr over this TikTok? There’s so many questions we still want to ask!
