We’ve finally been graced with the first official look at season five of Amazon’s hit comic book TV show The Boys… which was then followed by two more behind-the-scenes pics immediately after.
The first of said reveals came from Eric Kripke’s (showrunner, director, producer and writer of The Boys) Twitter, where he posted a sneak peek of him, Nathan Mitchell (Black Noir II), Chace Crawford (The Deep) and Antony Starr (Homelander) on set.
The lads look to just be hanging out, vibing and generally having a nice time - in stark contrast to every scene their characters are in.

Kripke also attached a mysterious message to the Tweet, which simply reads, “They saved me. They saved me in every way a man can be saved. Feast your eyes on the first #Season5 #BTS pic!”
Unless I have the world’s worst memory, I don’t remember that quote being in any of the previous seasons. Sounds like the type of PR-fueled waffle Homelander could say about the other members of The Seven in one of the final season’s episodes, perhaps?
Season 2 of The Last of Us is also right around the corner in spring 2025.
Now that Kripke has broken the seal, it seems like the rest of the cast of The Boys are following suit and posting their own reveals.

Tomer Capone (Frenchie) posted a reel on Instagram of Frenchie’s new look for the upcoming season, sporting a fresh buzzcut (assumedly because he’s in prison, following the events of the last season’s finale).
Karl Urban (Billy Butcher) posted something a little juicer however. In another Instagram post, Urban revealed a behind-the-scenes picture of Butcher covered in what I can only hope is someone else’s blood.
Unsurprising really, considering Butcher decided to go full villain mode in the last episode of season four.
No current word on exactly when The Boys’ final season will air, but it’s expected to come out sometime in 2026.

Although, given that they’ve already started filming it, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see it next year instead.
