The Boys is known for its shock value. Generally, there’s a feeling that anything can happen at any point but showrunner Eric Kripke has teased more chaos for season five.
Talking recently to Games Radar, Kripke remained tight-lipped on the details but did spill one tease, albeit a very vague one.
We loved what we played of Star Wars Outlaws and can't wait to play more in August
Kripke pitched season five as a “super big apocalyptic” finale and one where “really shocking, big things happen all the time.”

Viewers are no strangers to the weird, the wonderful, and the over-the-top moments or gore and nudity. However, it now seems we’re stepping into another realm of ‘big things.’
It seems that nobody is safe as the show comes to its end with season five. Kripke is all about going out with a bang. In his own words, “That’s the fun of the final season. You can blow the doors off it.”
It’s clear that nobody is safe. Over the previous four seasons, characters have been killed off is spectacular fashion, but the Boys have always been relatively safe.
That no longer feels the case as we near the conclusion of the show. Will Homelander get what’s coming to him? Will Butcher die in a storm of gooey tentacles? Will Hugie die to save the Boys?

It’s clear that Kripke, who doesn’t court the ideas of fans, will tear up the rulebook and could end up killing off Hugie, Starlight, MM, or really, anyone that fits the bill.
Ultimately, the idea is to stop Homelander, and the writers will do anything to help with that, even if it means your favourite character has to put their life on the line.
It’s hard to imagine there will be a happy ending for anyone in The Boys and we’ll have to wait a couple of years before we find out.
