One leaker seems to know exactly how Disney are going to wrap up Kang’s storyline in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it’s probably exactly what you were expecting.
Jonathan Majors’ sudden expulsion from the Marvel Cinematic Universe left a pretty huge Kang-sized hole for Disney to fill, but it sounds like they’ve figured out exactly how they can sidestep the problem entirely.
Well-known MCU leaker Alex Perez seems to have the inside scoop on their plans to wrap up Kang the Conqueror’s character in Avengers: Doomsday… and of course, it includes Robert Downey Jr.’s Doom.
“Doom wants to stop the incursions from happening and stop the multiverse from entirely collapsing on itself. In a way, he’s technically a hero (in his eyes and the eyes of his followers), kind of like how Thanos saw himself as the hero in Infinity War,” Perez stated in a Q&A on the Comic Circus site.

“I think people will have a better time processing this movie if they stopped thinking of Doom as the ultimate villain meant to swap out Kang at the last minute, and more as the antagonist who thinks he is the hero, and is pissed at He Who Remains for essentially 'silencing' his universe as well as every other universe/timeline that didn’t correspond to the Sacred Timeline.”
Now, whether or not this leak is real, I do have one little issue with it… how are they gonna pull this off without actually showing Kang?
Disney seem to want to avoid any mention or reference to Kang these days, due to Jonathan Majors’ existence, so how would they have Doom beat the character without having to actually show him on screen?
I don’t think audiences would be happy with an offhanded mention of Doom defeating Kang in a scene they never actually get to witness, so I’m hoping they have something a little smarter up their sleeve to round this whole thing off.
