Marvel fans are convinced that the next Avengers film after Avengers: Secret Wars has already been confirmed.
The next Avengers film is Avengers: Doomsday, releasing next year and filming as we speak in the UK.
It’ll unite several beloved Marvel characters from both the past and the present, like the Fox X-Men, Sam Wilson’s Captain America and Shuri’s Black Panther.
Our heroes will face-off against Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr, with the events of the film leading directly into the next one, Avengers: Secret Wars.

Fans expecting this to be a two film deal might want to reconsider though, as a new theory suggests that the Russo Brothers might pull another Avengers: Infinity War-style cliffhanger on us…
At the time of writing, Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for release on 18 December 2026. Avengers: Secret Wars will follow it a year later on 17 December 2027, but there’s an untitled project scheduled for 15 December 2028.
Some Marvel fans are predicting the unannounced title is “definitely the Avengers Secret Wars Part 2” which would make a lot of sense.
Secret Wars is an insanely big arc in the comics and settling it over one film, even if Doomsday kicks it off, feels like a lot to get through - especially with how many characters are starring in it.

It wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to assume Doom won’t be defeated by the end of Secret Wars, and another film will be needed to finish things off.
That said, others have predicted “it's most likely X-Men or even a F4 sequel” which also seem likely choices.
Who knows what the mysterious film could be ... it could be something brand-new or a sequel to something we’ve already had.
Either way, some exciting things are happening in the MCU right now, and it’ll be fun to see how everything is going to come together.
